Courtney is an accomplished choreographer, performer, and instructor. She is a fully qualified member of the British Association of Teachers of Dancing, and is the Owner/Director of KICKS Dance Studio, Markham and Mount Albert. Dance has been a big part of Courtney’s life since the young age of 3. She has received extensive dance training in all types of dance and has performed professionally across Canada, Europe and the U.S.
From 2000-2009, Courtney led the Toronto Raptors Dance Pak as Director and Choreographer with Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Ltd. Now, with two young daughters of her own, she continues to direct the Raptors Lil Ballas Dance Team into their 17th successful season. Courtney has had the pleasure of directing and choreographing many exciting works over the years, a few including the Olympic Torch Dance Team (Vancouver 2010), the PanAm Games Toronto (2015), Canadian National Jazz Team (Group choreography, Gold Medal, IDO World Championships NYC), Canadian National Tap Team (Solo choreography), Canadian National Hip Hop Team, NBA Europe Live Tour, NHL Enterprises All Star FANtasy, CTV’s Judy & David’s Jiggi Jump Series (2015) and TDSB’s Dance Instructional Series (2005).
Courtney’s students have performed with Justin Bieber in the 2016 Purpose Tour, danced Hip Hop routines on the Ellen Show (2017), and have also been selected to perform with the Mini Pops Kids (2015, 2016). Courtney thoroughly enjoys teaching dancers of all ages, levels and abilities, and prides herself in offering high quality dance training in a positive and nurturing environment. Courtney is looking forward to another exciting year with the KICKS Markham and Mount Albert students!
