Kristyn Felushko, a dance professional from Toronto (GTA), has dedicated her life to the art of dance.
With a rich background in ballet and contemporary/modern, Kristyn has not only excelled as a performer but has also emerged as a talented and passionate dance educator. Kristyn’s love for dance blossomed from a young age, leading her to pursue her dreams at PSB & Interplay Dance School. It was there that she received a solid foundation in dance, completing her Cecchetti Advanced 1 Exam in classical ballet and pointe work, as well as technical training in jazz, contemporary, acrobatics, and modern dance (Limon and Grahm Techniques). She was a member of the Profile Dance Youth Company touring ballets and mixed programs around Toronto (GTA) at schools, retirement homes, and parties/events in corps de ballet and soloist roles. At the age of 15, she began assisting and teaching classes in ballet and contemporary at multiple studios across the GTA.
Building on her early successes, Kristyn then moved on to study under Ballet Jorgen through the George Brown Dance Performance Program where she graduated with honors for her major in Classical Ballet in 2020. During her time at George Brown, she had the privilege of training with some of the most influential choreographers in the industry. Kristyn worked alongside esteemed professionals such as Clea Iveson, Saniya Abilmajineva, Cindy Macedo, Hanna Kiel, Derek Sangster, Ryan Lee, Sharon Moore, and Alyssa Martin. Kristyn’s talent and dedication earned her the opportunity to perform in various ballets as a youth member and student of Ballet Jorgen. Leading to teaching the next generation of Markham youth cast members. In 2018, Kristyn joined the Toronto International Ballet Theatre (TIBT) under the leadership of director Tatiana Stepanova. As a member of TIBT, Kristyn continues to flourish as a performer, taking on numerous roles in a wide range of ballet productions. Notably, Kristyn has had the honor of gracing the iconic Sony Centre stage in the timeless classic, “The Nutcracker.”
In addition to her performance career, Kristyn is deeply committed to sharing her knowledge and passion for dance through teaching. As a dance educator, she strives to inspire and guide young dancers, nurturing their talent and fostering a love for the art form. She feels privileged and excited to continue to work with the KICKS dancers!
